The ULTRA hydrogen purifier allows raw hydrogen to pass through an adsorption tower soaked in liquid nitrogen. The impurities in the hydrogen are adsorbed due to solidification or liquefaction at low temperatures, and the hydrogen still flows out in gaseous form. When the impurities in the adsorption tower accumulate to a certain amount, regeneration is required.
Regeneration requires certain conditions for desorption and backflushing. The desorption is carried out by heating the outside of the adsorption tower with nitrogen, and the back-blowing is realized by repeatedly injecting pure hydrogen into the pipe to a certain pressure, then releasing it, and then pumping it out.
ULTRA hydrogen purifier includes two first, one for regeneration or standby, and the other for purification. The purification/regeneration process of the purifier is automatically controlled and executed by PLC to ensure continuous purification of hydrogen. The purification time can be based on the hydrogen flow rate and the purity of the raw hydrogen. It lasts from a few days to several months, and the regeneration time takes 10-20 hours.
