The hydrogen production station in a water electrolysis hydrogen generation equipment is a crucial component that may not be particularly well understood by non-professionals. When installing the hydrogen production station, extreme caution is required, and the installation can be carried out according to the following methods. The design of the hydrogen production station must comply with GB50177-93. The installation procedure for the hydrogen production station is as follows: Firstly, racks one and two need to be placed in the center of the hydrogen production station. Then, in the rectifier control room, control cabinets, rectifier cabinets, power distribution installations, computers, etc., must be placed. In the auxiliary room, rack three should be placed. The number of rooms, equipment layout, and other details can be adjusted by the user or design institute based on local conditions and in accordance with the "Design Standards for Hydrogen and Oxygen Stations."

The installation requirements for the hydrogen production room are as follows: The hydrogen production room should be a single-story building made of non-flammable materials. It should be equipped with necessary pressure relief areas, with a general ratio of pressure relief area to plant volume (m2/m3) ranging from 0.05 to 0.10. Doors, windows, and lightweight walls can serve as pressure relief areas, which should be arranged reasonably and located close to the explosion site, avoiding facing areas with concentrated personnel and major traffic routes. The lightning protection grounding and electrical explosion-proof requirements of the hydrogen production station should be implemented in accordance with the rules of the "Design Standards for Hydrogen and Oxygen Stations." The room temperature in the hydrogen production room should not be lower than 15°C.

The height of the hydrogen production room should be no less than 5 meters, with doors and windows opening outward. The ceiling of the hydrogen production room should be equipped with an appropriate number of ventilation holes, with a diameter of not less than 200mm. These ventilation holes should be equipped with rain caps, and the lower edge should be flush with the ceiling and equipped with pull-type flaps to facilitate heat preservation in winter. The ventilation holes should be located at the highest point of the ceiling.
